Thailand's court sentenced 20 years to a 61-year-old man for sending SMS

Thailand's court sentenced 20 years to a 61-year-old man for sending SMS messages insulting the kingdom. Ampon Tangnoppakul convicted four short messages sent to an officer who was working for former Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, at the height of anti-government protests last year.
Ampon face charges based on computer crime legislation and reputation protection laws of the kingdom. He was arrested in August last year and declared not guilty to the charges.
Once arrested, the Bureau of Investigation Thailand said that the SMS message "unworthy and insulting the monarchy and make pissed on the receiving end." The SMS content that is not described in detail.
